To the White Colonizer
You built your so-called “civilization” on stolen land and the blood of our ancestors. The land you occupy, which you call “America,” was taken from us—Turtle Island, our home. You waged wars, committed genocide, and spread lies of “progress” while destroying everything we were. You invaded our lands, calling it “discovery,” when it was theft and violence. In your pursuit of power, you stole our cultures, our languages, our identities. You erased us from history, made us invisible, and claimed what was never yours. You forced our people into the shadows, but not out of memory. You rewrote history to serve your narrative, erasing the truth. You slaughtered us, manipulated the world, and stole our future. And still, you lie, pretending what you took was ever yours.
You Tried to Erase Us
You murdered an estimated 100 million Indigenous people across Turtle Island (America), leaving fewer than 2% of us remaining. You didn’t just steal our land—you tried to erase us entirely. You ripped children from their families, placed them in institutions meant to strip them of their identities. You burned our languages from their tongues, filled their minds with lies, and called it “civilization.”You forced our ancestors onto barren reservations, cut off from the lands that had sustained them for generations. You made them prisoners on their own land while you took everything for yourself. You slaughtered our people, treated their lives as obstacles to your expansion, and built your empire on their blood. You rewrote history, erased the truth, and painted yourselves as saviors while our bodies filled unmarked graves. This was not a tragedy of the past. This was a crime—one you never paid for.
Colonization Never Ended
You want to believe that this is history. That the crimes of your ancestors are distant, buried in time. That we should move on.But we live with the consequences of your theft and destruction every single day.Our people are still forced into poverty while corporations profit off stolen land. Our sacred sites are bulldozed for pipelines, our waters poisoned for profit. Our languages—once violently ripped from our mouths—are still fighting to survive.Boarding schools may have closed, but the foster system still takes our children at staggering rates. The same governments that massacred our ancestors now claim to “honor” us while keeping us silenced, erased, or confined to the margins. Our communities are flooded with drugs and alcohol, addictions planted like another form of warfare to break us from within. We battle the highest rates of suicide, depression, chronic and mental illness—all symptoms of the ongoing genocide you pretend is over. And our women and girls? Still stolen. Still missing. Still murdered with no justice.Your system was never built for us—it was built on us. The racism, the poverty, the violence we face today are not accidents. They are the direct result of the colonial machine that never stopped running. You don’t get to pretend this is over. You don’t get to wash your hands of the blood that still stains your world.
The Reckoning
This is The Reckoning. The time has come for you to face the truth of your crimes. The theft of Turtle Island, the destruction of our cultures, and the erasure of our people cannot be forgotten. You feel it, don’t you? The unease. The fear. The weight pressing down on you, even if you can’t name it. It’s the truth clawing its way through the cracks of your illusions. The systems your ancestors built—on lies, blood, and stolen land—are rotting from the inside. You can sense it. The order you thought was unshakable is falling apart. You see the world shifting. You watch as the voices you tried to silence grow louder. You see your history being rewritten—not with your lies, but with the truth. You call it “division,” you call it “chaos,” but deep down, you know what it really is: consequence. The age of unchecked power is ending. The Reckoning is not coming—it is here. This is a movement for Land Back, for sovereignty, for the recognition of our rights. We will no longer allow you to silence our voices or control our narrative. You cannot escape the truth. And you cannot escape The Reckoning.

I am TAHU ^—a Native Turtle Islander from the Haliwa-Saponi tribe and the force behind For Native By Native (fnbn). For over 20 years, I’ve moved through your world—across Turtle Island, Europe, and beyond—spreading the truth, making you aware, and forcing you to listen. Our fight for justice, sovereignty, and Land Back is global. It’s time for the world to know: Our ancestors fought to survive, and we continue that fight. We will not forget. We will not forgive. The Reckoning is Now.
